Summary:


Under the direction of the VP, Customer Development, the Sr Director, Customer Development – is responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to deliver against annual Plans and longer term growth objectives. Specific accountability will include hitting annual financial targets, building impactful relationships across multiple levels with customers and across NHSc, and leading and developing direct reports. This role has remote flexibility, however must be located in the US Northeast region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and deliver Annual Customer Plan with specific KPIs to drive profitable sales growth in accordance with corporate goals. Own and hit/exceed annual Sales targets.
  • Lead and develop a high performing, dynamic team of direct reports.
  • Manage all account execution, including sales forecasting, maintenance, logistics and inventory management.
  • P&L management within respective account coverage.
  • Maintain, foster, and grow existing and new relationships at the executive level including CM, Senior CM and DMM levels.
  • Monthly reporting, sales analytics and insights; understand go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency.
  • Serve as Customer team lead, translating business strategy into specific tactics for the customer to increase Gross Sales, points of distribution, and branded share.
  • Develop and execute specific tactics to drive Brand and Category growth, as well as opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Manage Trade budget and monitor spending efficiency that focus on a strong ROI and delivering GTN efficiencies.
  • Stay up to date on category landscape and key trends impacting Wellness and Nutrition.


Experience:


  • Minimum 10 years National Account sales experience
  • Must have strong working knowledge and experience in P&L and ROI management
  • Knowledge regarding relationship management, experience and mindset to work with partners in building initiatives that deliver on goals
  • Must have at least 10 years successful sales experience in the Drug Channel, CVS experience preferred.
  • This role has remote flexibility, however must be located in the US Northeast region.
  • Must have prior experience using data to determine customer needs and establish the most effective pricing and promotional activities that will increase sales and market share for the company and its customers
  • Knowledge regarding Project Management, and experience with setting up and managing projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.


Preferred Skills:


  • P&L management and strong financial acumen
  • Deep understanding of the assigned Customer and how to develop demand creation plans
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Strong ability to negotiate with business partners and deliver positive outcomes
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Health and Wellness category experience a plus.
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
  • The ability to utilize creativity and push beyond the obvious, comfortable going into “unchartered” territory in setting out recommendations and goals
  • Problem solver with a solutions oriented mindset
  • Must be a dynamic leader who can push past obstacles and overcome objections
  • Must be an articulate communicator who can quickly synthesize data
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
  • Understand the value of listening to customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward

The approximate pay range for this position is $200,000 $225,000 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
