Position Overview
StepStone Group, a leader across private market solutions in Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, and Infrastructure is seeking a Vice President to work alongside a territory manager to assist with institutional capital raising. The position will be tasked with helping to grow the firm’s investor and asset base across their assigned territory.

Position Overview

Essential Job Functions:
The US Business Development role has a number of essential functions which include but are limited to:
- Effectively assist in coverage of a large US territory, across several states, maintaining a high level of activity with prospective clients
- Institutional Clients include Pension Plans, Endowments, Foundations, Multi-Family and Single-Family offices.
- Assist in building qualified pipelines of institutional investors to execute campaigns and roadshows
- Maintain and track outreach activity in the firm’s CRM software (Salesforce)
- Proactively undertake investor outreach, soliciting StepStone offerings across the asset classes
- Meet monthly with the Global Business Development Coordinator to review activity, pipeline and progress
- Meet annual KPIs and contribute to territory success
- Respond to existing client inquires in a timely manner
- Attend regular internal meetings and strategy educations sessions
- 5+ years of institutional sales experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Private markets experience strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Consistently offer best-in-class prospect and client engagement
- Ability to prioritize activities and manage a pipeline of prospects
- Self-starter who can organize and effectively execute territory plans
- Commitment to being a team player
