Your role at Clorox:
Clorox is on a margin transformation journey to combat extraodinary and unprecendented levels of inflationary headwinds and margin pressures. To enable this transformation, Clorox established the Margin Transformation Office with the goal to build a clear and highly actionable pipeline to deliver the company’s margin improvement targets.
The Margin Transformation Office’s vision is to drive transformational, enterprise-wide margin improvement through a sustainable pipeline, systematic approach, and rigorous value management. Key objectives include:
  • Drive best practices to create a margin expansion mindset across the enterprise
  • Amplify, accelerate, and enable Clorox to achieve its strategic margin objectives (balancing in-year targets with a 3-year strategic horizon)
  • Facilitate the identification and formalization of cross-BU, and enterprise initiatives annually
  • Act as a control tower that provides transparency into overall margin transformation program delivery, risks, and tradeoffs
We are looking for a dynamic team member that can drive large scale ideation associated with margin improvements. Focus for this individual is to identify margin enhancement across the value chain, but with a greater focus in planning and manufacturing. The scope of the Margin Transformation Office is full Gross Margin, which includes both cost savings and revenue growth management activities, but will initially have greater focus on cost reduction. This global team will drive margin transformation across all of Clorox, in partnership with executive leadership, business unit general managers, and functional leaders.
In this role, you will:
Margin transformation program orchestration & value capture
  • Partner with Strategic Business Unit and Functional leaders to enable execution of margin improvement targets and share joint accountability for their delivery
  • Partner with senior leadership in establishing planning and manufacturing oriented margin targets and multi-year margin improvement strategies
  • Assist in the develop of communications and education in support of Margin Transformation Office objectives across the enterprise
  • Drive coordination of margin improvement efforts across the enterprise and proactive cross-functional action planning for risks, mitigations and dependencies
  • Track margin improvement program value realization; escalate risk and mitigations related to financials
  • Document and prioritize opportunities, facilitating the development of detailed business case analyses that provide full visibility into margin potential
  • Orchestrate planning and manufacturing margin transformation program ideation and discovery to fill 3-year pipeline
  • Support the creation of executive updates (e.g., senior executive committee, Board updates) and develop meeting materials (including consolidation of materials from Business Unit and working teams)
  • Evaluate interdependencies across initiatives and escalate risks to executive team and workstream leads as necessary
Strategic enterprise margin improvement enablement
  • Serve as challenge partner for Business Unit & Functional teams, leading team to identify and evaluate opportunities to achieve (and exceed) targets
  • Build and develop processes, tools, techniques, and playbooks to advance margin improvement ideation and identification
  • Maximize efficient and effective use of resources knowing how and when to leverage external partners, internal technical and functional resources, and BU expertise
  • Facilitate best practice sharing across business units and functions to enable value creation
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
  • Experience in effective ideation, facilitation, brainstorming and business case developement
  • Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma processes and best practices
  • Experience in supply chain operations, with particular emphasis on manufacturing
  • 7+ years of experience focused on business transformation; delivering complex, cross-functional programs
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods or consumer industries a plus, but not required
Skills And Abilities
  • Takes an enterprise view that considers and anticipates implications across multiple global stakeholders
  • Strong ability to collaborate & influence across a range of functions / teams / levels
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and/or solutions to multiple organizational levels, in a highly cross-functional organization, internally and externally as needed
  • Demonstrated strategic ability to solve complex global cross-functional issues exercising critical thinking and sound judgment
  • Self-starter with strong results orientation, able to drive progress in an ambiguous environment and track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, resolving, and documenting complex issues and recommendations
  • Strong facilitation, ideation and coordination skills; ability to drive forward new ways of thinking and solicit input from a diverse set of stakeholders
Education Level/Degree:
  • MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or other related field

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $138,100 - $277,400
–Zone B: $126,600 - $254,300
–Zone C: $115,100 - $231,200
