Director Of Project Management - Construction/Manufacturing

We are a modular steel construction company based out of Long Beach, CA. We are a fast-paced, fun environment!
We currently have an immediate need for a Director of Project Management. Must have experience in construction/manufacturing, management & understanding of Six Sigma.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities Include (not Limited To)

• Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all stakeholders to ensure feasibility
• Develops comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Manages changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate processes and documents
• Completes work in a timely manner on tasks as assigned without compromising quality and attention to detail
• Coordinates internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects
• Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders as well as third parties/vendors
• Monitor and manage employee relations, in combination with HR when required
• Provides recommendations for improvements that might increase production, streamline processes, and lower costs
• Adheres to and enforce safety best practices, policies, and procedures
• Meets with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
• Ensures availability of resources and allocation by working with the Project Planner and all stakeholders
• Develops spreadsheets, schedules, and processes maps to document needs
• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation (RFI logs, meeting minutes, etc.)
• Local travel is required

What You Need for this Position

• 10+ years in management role
• Extensive knowledge of Office products & ProCore
• 7+ years of managing safety on job sites
• Effective multitasking and organizational skills
• Effective leadership skills & ability to direct others according to company standards
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Construction (preferred)
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma & 5S
• 7+ years experience in construction and/or manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with subcontractors
