Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Delivering rigorous academic instruction in Social Studies, Arts, Social Justice, and the Human Experience to adult learners seeking to build college-ready skills.
Implementing evidence-based instructional practices that are effective for adult learners in both in-person and remote settings.
Conducting diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to inform instructional design, delivery, and measure student learning.
Maintaining accurate student data, including proof of academic progress and samples of completed work, to enhance access to the curriculum and create personalized learning opportunities.
Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and counselors to ensure student progress and development of comprehensive education and career plans.
Contextualizing instruction to include industry-specific content and fostering connections to postsecondary education and employment opportunities.
Participating in program-wide meetings, curriculum development activities, and professional development opportunities.
Utilizing technology, such as Google Classroom, learning management systems, and various educational applications, to enhance student learning and provide timely feedback.
Adhering to all educator effectiveness evaluation processes and engaging in self-reflection and professional growth.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Critical Thinking or closely related field.
Three (3) years of experience and/or training in program coordination, teaching, critical thinking instruction, curriculum development, and computer operations in an educational environment. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Desired Qualifications
K-12 certification.
Experience with computer operations in an educational environment.
Experience in designing and delivering remote instruction.
Experience working with adult students.
