ABOUT YOUR ROLE

We are currently seeking an Account Associate who has a passion for excellence in media relations and client management in our healthcare and healthtech vertical, focused on the future of personalized and preventative health management. If you are energized by a diverse set of responsibilities, this position might just be your next big step.

As an Account Associate, you have at least 2 to 4 years of experience and has transitioned out of an administrative-focused role to a media relations position. The majority of the Account Associate’s time and energy will be devoted to developing exceptional media relations skills, an array of contacts and high-quality output across client accounts. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, contribute to client service initiatives and demonstrate a team player attitude.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

CLIENT SERVICE

• Provide proactive client counsel and recommendations on how to meet client goals through communications
• Draft communications and media and campaign materials (e.g., press releases, media pitches, messaging, social media posts) and slides for PR/media strategy presentations
• Provide strategic support for a myriad of media inquiries and manage inbound media requests
• Support client priorities as needed including: awards, speaking, thought leadership
• Identify, research and develop successful awards and speaking entries across categories
• Draft client materials including bios, key messages and press releases

MEDIA RELATIONS

• Oversee media list management with Account Coordinator and identify benchmarks to continually build media targets and new opportunities
• Support media monitoring, tracking and reporting processes across accounts
• Ideate creative or seasonal pitch angles to support client services and products outside of major corporate news
• Media Relations KPI: 2 new leads/opportunities per client per week added to our pipeline
• Identify and secure podcast opportunities for clients and advisors/partners/athletes
• Responsible for dedicated media outreach to support news and/or major milestones or to identify new media contracts relevant to client category and business
• Assist in executing high-quality product launches and media programs from conception to execution to placement including project and timeline management, vendor management, materials development, media outreach, and reporting
• Identify national consumer media opportunities or pitch angles (e.g., compelling or timely trend stories), build media lists, conduct outreach to media and build relationships with key reporters
• Generate new leads/opportunities and add to the pipeline per KPI

STRATEGIC WRITING

• Begin pitching media and podcasts as applicable; focus on seasonal campaigns and roundups targeting shopping editors, commerce editors and editorial assistants; oversee HARO, QWOTED and Inbound media inquiries email

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Track conversations and flag to team when deadline has passed or conversation has stalled
• Maintain professional communication on Jack Taylor internal and external client Slack channels; responding to client requests and asks in real time

TEAM LEADERSHIP

• Review, edit and oversee the work of Account Coordinator and Account Assistant positions
• Train and ensure Account Coordinator and Account Assistants are completing work with high degree of professionalism and execution
