Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wholesale Planning Manager to join our dynamic retail team. As the Wholesale Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our wholesale operations by effectively strategizing, executing, and optimizing the planning and inventory management processes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the availability of products while maximizing profitability and minimizing risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting and Planning:
- Lead the demand forecasting process for wholesale products, collaborating with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and data for accurate demand projections.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models and tools to predict product demand trends and seasonality, ensuring optimal inventory levels and product availability.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and external factors to refine forecasting accuracy.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory turnover, aging, and obsolescence, taking proactive measures to address inventory-related challenges.
- Develop and implement inventory replenishment strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce stockouts.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline inventory flow and distribution processes.
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure synchronization between sales projections and supply chain capabilities.
- Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and develop mitigation strategies to optimize overall operational efficiency.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key metrics, providing actionable insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain regular performance metrics and KPIs related to wholesale planning and inventory management.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory health, sales trends, and demand accuracy.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance, and production teams to align wholesale planning strategies with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively across departments to manage expectations and resolve potential conflicts.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Continuously assess and enhance wholesale planning processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in planning and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using statistical tools and demand forecasting software.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in wholesale planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management within the retail industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives, influence stakeholders, and lead process improvements.
- Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions and familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
