Messika USA is hiring a Store Planning Manager based in New York.
This position is responsible for managing Store planning projects, controlling, and enhancing Messika's visibility for the retail and wholesale networks.
Working with external project contractors and suppliers, in conjunction with the central SDP (Store Design and Planning team in Paris), this position ensures that Messika stores and wholesale accounts are built, renovated and maintained to industry and Maison’s standards.
The Store Planning Manager is also responsible for the proper implementation of in-store animations and trade shows to guarantee Messika's image for the Americas region: USA, Canada, Caribbean and LATAM (Except Mexico).
What you do ?
Store design & Construction Projects Management
- Manage challenges in project lifecycle, identify potential crisis and define mitigation plan.
- Fully engage with key project stakeholders to ensure that accurate and appropriate information is communicated on time (and inform local marketing and commercial teams about project schedule status -milestone, opening date, etc.)
- Projects execution and lead regular site meetings with external parties including contractors, consultants and landlord representatives to comply with the highest Maison standards, reinforcing at every opportunity for satisfactory boutique opening
- Review and revise technical & production drawings to comply with brand’s standards.
- Assist central SDP team in preparing launch packages by collecting, controlling & submitting all information that is required to start working (site survey packages, drawings, photo reports, technical constrains, LL guideline highlights, etc.)
- Work closely with all relevant departments (retail, operation, merchandising, VM, IT, security, marketing, central SDP, central furniture etc) within the Maison and externally with all consultants, architects, contractors, LL, central appointed suppliers etc.
- Contribute to boutique brief in collaboration with different departments: the positioning, zoning, the local touch adaption, clientele orientations, specific needs in terms of furniture, BOH etc
- Control and manage project schedule – milestone, opening date
- Identify and analyze possible SiS and corner projects.
Account Management - Contractor & Supplier
- Construction quality control throughout the project life cycle
- Survey / analysis of suppliers
- Identify regional/local resources, materials, suppliers for cost and schedule efficiencies.
Trade shows and Events, Assist Visual Merchandiser Manager
- Set up/dismantle with the Event manager project according to the agenda
- Follow up for transport & storage (locally & with HQ coordination)
- Develop a network of local vendors able to produce custom-made decorations compliant with a briefing from HQ / production follow-up & setup
- Participate and provide technical expertise and creative input for all local concepts relating to VM / brand’s presentation: trade shows, events, Pop UP stores etc.
Cost Management
- Control the budget and follow up the cost of each project in collaboration with Management & central SDP
- Follow up procurement, supervise payment process to all suppliers
- Client invoicing
- Review and validate quotations related to the project in collaboration with central SDP
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel, up to 30% (local and international travel)
- Good negotiation and communication skills, solution oriented
- 3+ years of experience directly related to role requirements (ideally with watch & Jewelery brands)
- Has strong knowledge of Americas retail fit-up industry, compliance and standards
- Must master graphics and Architecture softwares : Illustrator, Photoshop, sketchup, AutoCad
- Efficient in coordination and project management skills, with ability to prioritize
- Good knowledges with technical and construction drawings, Familiar with carpentry, electricity, renovation and development work
- Flexible with working hours due to the non-standard nature of this industry requiring working weekends & evenings
- Good sense of luxury aesthetics and retail operations
- Ability to work effectively and proactively under high pressure while remaining positive and solution-oriented; Flexible and comfortable with constantly changing priorities
