Account Executive
TITLE: Account Executive
REPORTS TO: Director of Max Mara Brand
OVERALL DUTIES:
The Account Executive is responsible for selling the Max Mara, ‘S, Accessories, Sportmax, Weekend Max Mara, and Studio collections to Department and Specialty Stores throughout North America. This position requires a candidate who is proactive, accountable, professional, charismatic, strategic, and entrepreneurial.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre Market:
· For Key Accounts: each appointment has to be organized beforehand, with all the main variables strategized: core selection, depth, number of SKUS, proportion by delivery, comparison vs LY and vs previous exit, etc.
· Generate proper sell-in strategies by account and by collection (dollars and units), elaborating budgets and projections both in units and dollars with the Brand Director in order to meet expected growth
· Plan with the Brand Director a traveling schedule in order to ensure that proper growth is strategized in advance with the territory potentials
· Coordinate with Operations for the arrival of sample collections, etc.
· Prospect new accounts.
During Market:
· Responsible of the brands sell-in/market performances. Projections and Budgets (agreed in pre-market phase) have to be met
· Work on a report with the Brand Director on a weekly basis to present to the Head of the Division with reforecasts and re-projections by client - Providing the Brand Director with periodic quantitative and qualitative feedback on the progress of the selling campaign
· Manage showroom activities (model bookings, catering, etc.)
· Ensure the collections are presented following company standards
· Update projections in the light of appointments’ outcome
· Responsible for ensuring appointments are executed impeccably and with the necessary support
· Ensure all the accounts’ orders are entered correctly
After Market:
· Responsible for compiling collection recaps and submitting them to Italy
· Primary contact for Specialty Store Buyers
· Travel
· Generate selling reports for Brand Director
· Coordinate with the warehouse to determine the best timing for shipping with respect to inventory and financial situations
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Prior administrative and sales experience preferably in a retail or wholesale organization
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and basic knowledge of PowerPoint/Keynote
- Flexible and willing to accommodate to schedule changes
