About The Job


The Vice President of Partnerships & Growth is pivotal to our growth strategy and responsible for all partnerships across UpCare. These partnerships are designed to accelerate the growth of our health system partnerships and achieve core business objectives and drive new revenue. This person will be responsible for the development of new strategic relationships and the cultivation of existing partnerships. As the leader of Partnerships & Growth, you will work to build a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities through a combination of your existing network, current strategic partners, and outbound outreach.


This critical role will report to our CEO and work closely with other leaders within the organization to create an effective partner program at scale. We are looking for a strong leader who can develop, steer, and lead complex relationships and effectively drive commercial success with our partners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to shift seamlessly between the long-term strategic development of our overall partnership program and the tactical execution of key individual partner relationships.


What You Will Do


  • Explore additional product features or analytics that would add value to existing customers, attract prospects, and position UpCare for success.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and target markets to stand up workforce development platforms. Partner with UpCare's leadership team to inform strategic priorities and capitalize on emerging market trends.
  • In the longer term build a team that supports the acquisition and ongoing management of our partnership relationships
  • Lead the process of developing proposals and responding to requests for proposals from potential clients. Work closely with internal teams to create compelling and competitive proposals, including pricing, project plans, and implementation strategies.
  • Lead the identification, engagement, structuring and negotiation of third-party partnerships to drive strategic and commercial success
  • Represent the company in relevant industry associations and forums, positioning it as a thought leader in workforce development by attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build the company's reputation and expand its network.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire corporate clients and funding opportunities. Negotiate contracts and agreements while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Create a comprehensive strategy for new partnerships, prioritization, and structuring from the ground up, while fostering growth of our existing partnership ecosystem
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and policies related to workforce development is crucial in this role. Possess a strong understanding of workforce training programs, funding mechanisms, and compliance requirements to navigate the landscape effectively.
  • Lead the development of detailed growth and partnership plans, prioritization and milestones
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and decision makers to manage strong relationships with our partners. Engage with educational institutions, healthcare organizations, training providers, industry associations, and other relevant organizations to form collaborations, secure funding, and create mutually beneficial partnerships.


What you'll need:


  • You have 10+ years working in Business Development, Partnerships, and Strategy, with the 4+ years in healthcare
  • You have an ability to shift seamlessly between long-term strategic development of our partnership program and tactical execution of key partner relationships
  • You have a builder and growth mindset with experience scaling partnerships from inception to execution
  • You have previous experience working with senior leaders to develop and execute strategic partnership roadmaps
  • You have demonstrated experience navigating large strategic partnerships with a clear point of view on how deals can be optimally structured and managed

You will work out of one of the following locations:


  • Hybrid role, with a focus on the local market (tri-state) EST preferred
  • NY Metropolitan area


Additional Information


Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 plus equity and benefits.
