Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President of Commercial will play a critically important role in leading and driving the iconic Cartier Maison in the Cartier North American market. This role will be accountable for leading the network from a development, performance, growth, and operational perspective ensuring the market’s success in driving sales and advancing the network’s capabilities to engage and meet the needs of the Cartier client.

This person must have proven executive leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to manage leaders, diverse teams, and functions. This role will be a critical partner within the Cartier North America market, Richemont shared service functions, as well as with Cartier International & Group stakeholders. Bringing a deep expertise of performance and operational excellence to the Cartier Maison, this individual will be responsible for implementing new and emerging trends, strategies and best practices that will ultimately enhance and grow a well-established luxury retail business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategic roadmap for that defines and integrates a commercial performance mindset using KPI’s and data to drive and accelerate growth across the network.
• Establish an operational foundation (daily back of house standards, stock management, boutique opening, project and technology implementation/business solutions, training. etc.) for the boutiques providing clear, sustainable solutions to ensure operational excellence that incorporates synergies across the commercial corporate framework and in coordination with continuous improvement across the business.
• Lead the commercial teams to ensure synergies among processes and ways of working and improve collaboration across all commercial pillars.
• Incorporating a deep understanding of the boutique environment, lead a highly skilled team that translates innovative store design solutions standpoint and executes effective and timely construction/build outs of renovation and new store concepts.
• Provide leadership to inspire, empower, engage and energize the team to achieve key performance objectives through teamwork and streamlined processes
• Design and develop a clear, cohesive, and effective communication strategy for how the corporate office disseminates information to the networking driving key projects and ensuring the network is at the core of everything.
• Set the tone for leadership by modeling effective performance feedback, attracting and retaining talent & building effective succession plans for talent
• In close collaboration with HQ, develop clearly defined strategies to meet the expansion, optimization, and readiness of Cartier’s North America network providing innovative network wide planning across all pillars of the commercial organization that serve as stabilizers and ensure synergies
• Spearhead an effective workforce planning strategy to ensure network optimization.

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Required Experience and Personal Skills:

• 15+ years senior executive level experience in a multinational organization including in field experience
• Excellent communication skills experience in the consumer products industry a must
• Curious in nature and always looking to question, learn, and look for better ways to do things
• Relish working in a company with a diverse and global environment
• Deep understanding of retail performance and levers that drive business.
• Experience in luxury retail with leadership experience in a boutique position
• Experience in working transversally with all key functions in a market/HQ
• Global Mindset & Curiosity: Experience working in international and global environments; French language and affinity to its culture is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to be operationally savvy in retail environment. High curiosity and desire to seek out new trends and best practices to elevate operational excellence.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to see the big picture but possesses a pragmatic /flexible approach to delivery
• Experience supporting growth through transparency, consistency, and disciplined execution. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, high-growth environment
• Experience implementing new business models to transform and elevate a commercial organization
• Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
• Clear thinker with outstanding numeric ability supported by a rounded commercial awareness
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner
• Strong team working and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a cross functional team
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, with a track record for delivering to plan

Base salary $285,000 to $325,000. Please note, salaries will be negotiated at time of hire based on relevant skills and experience.
