Job Description

Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Gather requirements, analyze, and design various components of next generation high through put derivative trade processing and regulatory reporting functions that can process 10s of millions of transactions per day. Design and develop data models for complex OTC (Over-the-counter) derivatives to distribute the data required for regulatory reporting, pricing and valuation, client reporting and confirmation, clearing and settlements. Develop large scale multi-threaded applications and processes in Java, Scala, C++ and Slang. Develop and optimize performance of applications interfacing Relational Databases such as Sybase, DB2, and Non SQL Databases including Mongo DB and Elastic Search. Work with variety of Data Warehousing/ETL technologies to persist and distribute large volumes of data for OLAP and analytical usage. Develop, test deploy and production support of Trade processing and Regulatory functions working with Operations, Strategists, and Trading functions. Work on entire software development life cycle to coordinate the UAT strategy, release planning and execution for different release cycles. Supervise 2 Analysts on their project work, including mentoring, instructing, training, and providing technical guidance to more junior members of the team.
Job Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Three (3) years of experience with a Master’s degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with: building multi-threaded/multi-process service-oriented Java enterprise applications within cloud/parallel computing unix/linux environment; developing data intensive applications with extensive database performance tuning skills; developing secure, distributed, and scalable REST web-services using Java and related tools, APIs and frameworks; and utilizing database and SQL concepts to perform data modeling and utilizing expertise in writing complex queries to develop data driven applications and to generate reports. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: performing data analysis, data model, and querying using Structured Query Language and ETL tools; using big data technologies, frameworks and APIs, including Apache Spark APIs and HDFS, to develop big data processing pipelines; using Apache Kafka to develop message-driven applications (publisher-subscriber architecture); working with OTC Derivatives Products and their Post trade lifecycle including, trade processing, clearing, allocation, contract creation, confirmation, settlement and reporting; and working with Mongo DB. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with: using testing frameworks and tools to write unit test cases and perform regression testing; working across an entire software development lifecycle of product development, including gathering, analyzing, and documenting client requirements, communicating the requirements concisely and effectively across a large development team, and validating the requirements with the client; and using ETL concepts, stored procedures, and Unix bash Shell scripting to solve data analysis problems and generate reports.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $158,000 to $250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
