Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Software engineering role responsible for assisting in the development of analytical software and reporting solutions for the Firm’s businesses through the entire software development lifecycle. Drive and implement various software development projects that support regulatory capital calculation, analysis initiatives, and profit and loss (P&L) calculations. Perform database design, modeling, and data warehousing for data across the company with a consistent API and programming environment. Implement complex profit and loss and capital calculators by leveraging programming languages such as Java and Scala. Implement workflows leveraged for internal management analysis and external regulatory capital reporting using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Implement, enhance, and maintain web applications in HTML5 and JavaScript, leveraging JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React and Redux. Perform database performance tuning for relational databases like DB2 and columnar databases like Sybase IQ to manage high frequency and high-volume data sets. Own the end-to-end systems development cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and maintenance. Build highly performant analytical reports for business users leveraging Tableau. Leverage object-relational mapping (ORM) tools like Hibernate, Reladomo, or similar, to build interactive applications for business users.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Systems Management, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Systems Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) of experience (with a Master’s degree) or five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: working across the entire software development lifecycle of product development, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, UAT, release procedures, change request analysis, and production support; Java programming including multi-threading in Java and managing high volume data sets; utilizing HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks including Angular, React, or Redux; performing workflow development using BPMN modeling; utilizing the Scala programming language; performance tuning databases including Sybase IQ or DB2; and working with reporting tools including Tableau.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $172,000 - $215,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
