Job Description

The ideal candidate is someone with a passion to serve both team members and clients in a fast-paced, high-growth environment in a well-funded company.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Represents the firm with professional associations, carriers, and industry educational and networking meetings across the region
  • Actively participates in national carrier management team, providing regional insights into carrier and industry trends
  • Manage regional carrier relationships, partner on contract negotiation, proactively manage carrier issues and potential losses, ensure timely delivery and accuracy of carrier production results
  • Builds in-depth relationships with regional carrier leaders and national carrier leadership team, identifying new opportunities to deliver solutions for agencies while working in partnership with carriers to design and execute these initiatives
  • Support agencies in the region in a consultative manner on complex claims and coverages, escalate to carriers as needed, as well as carrier appointments and placement of hard-to-place risks
  • Responsible for coordination with marketing on regional carrier communications, to keep members apprised of carrier appetite, access, and capacity changes as well as overall industry trends
  • Develop and cascade premium aggregation goals to individual agencies to achieve Renaissance revenue targets. Partner with Relationship Managers to ensure individual agency targets are managed
  • Develop and cascade regional and national carrier goals (especially volume-based monetization) to individual agencies to achieve Renaissance revenue targets. Partner with Relationship Managers to ensure individual agency targets are managed
  • Participate in evaluation of and launch of new carriers, in conjunction with national carrier management team


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of experience and training
  • Responsive to member needs and fosters a positive experience through a clear understanding of a client’s situation, perception, and expectation. Member is the focal point of all decisions related to delivering products, services, and experiences to create member satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills to simultaneously manage several projects, provide successful outcomes, and accurately document all activity in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to secure and maintain professional work relationships and interact within all levels of an organization
  • Relational-- exhibits a confident demeanor, a positive attitude, and genuine friendliness. Is honest, respectful, considerate, empathetic, and approachable.
  • Experience leading multiple projects that span client stakeholders, including internal senior leadership and external influencers
  • Capability and experience in leveraging resources including people, technology, research, and data to maximize performance
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Confidently and effectively communicates with a professional demeanor through oral and written means with a diverse range of individuals both internally and externally having superior negotiation skills and experience

  • Experience in promoting and supporting continuous improvement focused on quality, workflow processes, and efficiencies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum of 10+ years of agency focused property and casualty insurance industry experience with an insurance company and/or deep familiarity with insurance agency growth and operations with an advanced understanding of P&C product lines, market and industry trends, and federal/state regulations to design and execute growth initiatives and optimize agency services.
