Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Design, develop and test software solutions on critical projects in the Private Bank Select platform in order to automate and streamline processes related to client data management, data warehousing, data engineering, data integration with Firmwide systems, fraud management, controls and fraud review workflow on transaction and payment flows. Responsible for every stage of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) process, including gathering requirements, software design, implementation, testing, version control, release management, and production support. Provide business and/or analytical support to assigned functional area of the Firm by conducting strategic and tactical platform design and analysis. Provide daily support to the Private Bank Select lending and banking platform and promptly resolve issues that may arise. Participate in development, software testing and support of server-side systems in a dynamic distributed environment utilizing Java frameworks (including Spring IoC, Reladomo), Kafka messaging, Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Sybase and MongoDB. Support existing data strategy by building infrastructure to support the analytics reported to external clients on a daily and monthly basis.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree with two (2) of experience in the job offered or in a related role or Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with a Master’s or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor’s: utilizing object oriented (OO) programming languages, including JAVA, to develop software; working with Database Management Systems, including Sybase and MongoDB; messaging frameworks like Kafka; process and workflow sequencing and orchestration across a distributed micro-service architecture; working with large data sets and Big data tools and stack, such as Kafka, near real-time stream processing platforms, Snowflake or other data warehouses; using tools and techniques for automated regression testing of back-end services; using one or more software version control technologies, including Concurrent Version System (CVS), Apache SVN or Git; working with database query languages, including SQL and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB; working through the full software development including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment and production support; and working on a global software development team and communicating status and design effectively with other teams.
Salary Range: The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $172,000 - $250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
