Job Description

Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Software engineering role responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the software solutions that support the Firm’s compliance, risk, and regulatory change needs. Design, develop, and maintain critical compliance applications in support of compliance functions such as risk assessment and regulatory change management. Perform data modeling, design data warehouses, and build data sourcing solutions for the firm’s regulatory change management applications. Engage in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including developing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications in a production environment. Resolve issues related to system outages, data integrity, and vendor feed processing. Support and maintain databases, system host migrations, and infrastructural updates. Work closely with Compliance stakeholders to gather audit requirements as well as to assess internal and external audits as a technology representative. Analyze processes and workflows of cross-area projects. Communicate status summaries to management and stakeholders detailing progress, risks, and blockers.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related role or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include four (4) years of experience with a Master’s degree OR six (6) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree with: working with the full SDLC, including interacting with non-technical end users to gather requirements, documenting requirements and code processes, using version control systems such as SVN and GIT, and leveraging software release processes to deploy applications; writing, debugging, and testing Java and Scala code as well as troubleshooting real-time and batch applications in Java and shell script; building and deploying complex systems involving data interchange and workflow services to a production environment across all phases of the SDLC using Agile and Waterfall methodologies as well as JIRA software; compliance domain experience specially working with transactional data; developing data sourcing, transformation, and ingestion processes using Java, Spark, Scala and Python; using Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, and Spark; utilizing database systems and relational databases, including DB2, Oracle, or SQL; using Test Driven Development (TDD) with Junit and ScalaTest library; and working with search engines including ElasticSearch. Must have one (1) years of experience with: designing and implementing a data warehouse solution based on Snowflake; using Snowflake internals and integration of Snowflake with other technologies for data processing and reporting; and utilizing Amazon Web Services, S3 and Athena.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $170,000 - $250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
