About the Role
Territory Managers are responsible for cultivating and managing sales and retailer relationships within their assigned region as well as managing all sales functions for assigned accounts to ensure the business grows according to sales projections. This includes account financial planning, assortment planning, developing and implementing sales plans, coordinating product showings, and working closely with customer service to process orders. Manage and maintain quality and consistency of product and service delivery.

- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Forecasting of territory business on a seasonal basis.
- Regular communication with retailer base.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
- Identifying growth opportunities in territory.
- Attend trade shows and seasonal sales meetings.
- Provide retailer base with sales reports and analytics in order to drive business and produce top results.
- Regular product showings and account visits.
- Provide regular product educational feedback to retailers and their staff.
- Territory feedback regarding market trends and influences.
About You
- Ability to consistently meet sales goals.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Willing to travel.
- Strong retail math skills.
- Strong field sales experience, preferably with apparel and footwear.
- Ability to reach out to new contacts, establish rapport and establish new accounts.
- Confidence in communicating comfortably with business owners and decision makers.
- Exceptional written, oral, and face-to-face communication skills.
- Able to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and work independently.
- Effective Order book management minimizing sales and credit caused cancellations.
- Self-starter and motivated for success.
- Previous wholesale sales experience is preferred.

Compensation for this position includes base salary, commission, and bonus opportunities based on KPIs. Anticipated total compensation potential is $125,000 - $175,000 per year.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
