Job Description

About the Role

Territory Managers are responsible for cultivating and managing sales and retailer relationships within their assigned region as well as managing all sales functions for assigned accounts to ensure the business grows according to sales projections. This includes account financial planning, assortment planning, developing, and implementing sales plans, coordinating product showings, and working closely with customer service to process orders. Manage and maintain quality and consistency of product and service delivery.

  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Identifying growth opportunities in territory.
  • Territory feedback regarding market trends and influences.
  • Provide retailer base with sales reports and analytics in order to drive business and produce top results.
  • Forecasting of territory business on a seasonal basis.
  • Regular product showings and account visits.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
  • Regular communication with retailer base.
  • Provide regular product educational feedback to retailers and their staff.
  • Attend trade shows and seasonal sales meetings.


About You

  • Self-starter and motivated for success.
  • Effective Order book management minimizing sales and credit caused cancellations.
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong field sales experience, preferably with apparel.
  • Able to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and work independently.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Confidence in communicating comfortably with business owners and decision makers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to consistently meet sales goals.
  • Exceptional written, oral and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Strong retail math skills.
  • Previous wholesale sales experience is preferred.
  • Ability to reach out to new contacts, establish rapport and establish new accounts.

The base salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year.


The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
