Job Description

Job Title Territory Manager

Location : Remote - Highland, Illinois {office)


Relevante has partnered with an industrial electronics manufacturer. Our client is looking to add a Territory Manager to Highland, IL office. Please read the below description and let us know if you are interested.


Prioritized must haves for the Territory Manager:

#1. Must be willing to travel up to 50% in the assigned territory.

#2. Must reside in AZ, CO or NV

#3. Must be able to utilize CRM and MS Office tools proficiently.


Responsibilities of the Territory Manager:

  • Attend and assist in trade organization functions as required.
  • Record/log all Customer contacts, opportunities, and trip reports in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate and/or negotiate purchase agreements and other commercial items within the assigned territories.
  • Obtain and report marketing information for potential new products in the assigned market segment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Identify Customers in assigned territories.
  • Make introductory sales presentations to Customers.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of visits by technical application personnel with Customers.
  • Track major opportunities in the assigned territories.
  • Provide sales forecasts and participate in the determination of market potential in the assigned territories.
  • Provide monthly updates on projects, opportunities, and upcoming visits to direct supervisor.
  • Schedule appointments, trips, and visits to meet with Customers in assigned territories.


Requirements of the Territory Manager:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in direct account sales.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in direct sales of a technical product to end users.
  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Electrical Engineering but other degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of power systems as it pertains to the assigned market segments.
  • Travel up to 50% in the assigned territories.
