About The Opportunity

The Technology Program Management & Service Operations (TPMSO) team is hiring a Project Manager for our Project Management team to partner with Cloud Engineering, Product Management, R&D and business unit stakeholders across Ellucian to manage projects in our portfolio. This position is an individual contributor role. This role focuses on leading Product and Enterprise projects to achieve expected outcomes.

The TPMSO is part of Engineering Operations in the Product Organization and is made up of Program Managers, Project Managers and Process Managers. We work on internal and customer facing projects which are key to keeping our customers and internal teams on target for our transformation into a world-class SaaS provider. The team leads planning, execution, and delivery of commitments by driving project team accountability and transparency while continuously managing risks, driving actions and communicating with people across the organization about status, risks and needs. We run on honest dialogue, full transparency, and a shared understanding across stakeholders. We work with an agile mindset applying creativity and innovation to overcome challenges and deliver our work successfully.

Where you will make an impact

• Understand and apply standard project management and delivery methodology and project tracking standards to build effective plans and deliver quality solutions
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to build positive relationships and outcomes
• Facilitate delivery of projects by ensuring the team drives commitments to completion on time and with quality
• Take responsibility for delivering not just a project but a solution – people, process and technology
• Manage and facilitate effective work sessions such as project definition and goals, problem identification and solutioning
• Ensure initiatives are managed to deliver expected outcomes. Proactively remove impediments to ensure successful delivery of team commitments. Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation
• Own and manage communication within and across projects, ensuring transparency and buy in on key decisions
• Accomplish project goals within a matrix-management environment
• Timely communication of project key objectives, critical path milestones, and overall project status to internal and external senior management
• Act with a sense of urgency, high level of quality, and a strong attention to detail
• Manage priorities across multiple projects and customers

What You Will Bring

• Higher Ed experience is a plus
• Inquisitive drive to learn new systems and technology and seek innovative solutions
• Knowledge and experience in SDLC and Agile development
• Willingness to be a hands-on leader and dig into project details to improve understanding, implementation planning and communication
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or like experience
• Direct experience leading projects which involve technical solutions, process improvement, organizational change management
• Focus on improvement and follow through to identify and facilitate improvement opportunities in support projects
• Experience with AWS projects and tools or similar Cloud products
• 5+ years of related work experience including enterprise and technical projects
• Well-developed analytical skills to uncover insights and make recommendations for action
• Experience and ability to influence without authority
• Experience in the implementation of large projects, including ERPs or complex distributed application environments
• Superior verbal and written skills, excellent customer service, as well as high attention to detail
• Results driven, collaborative individual with exceptional interpersonal, organizational, communication and negotiation skills
