Job Description

Job Summary:

First Brands Group, an automotive aftermarket industry leader in manufacturing category-leading brands, is seeking an experienced automotive aftermarket parts sales leader to join our team. The Sr. Director, Auto Retail Channel Sales, will be responsible for managing our portfolio and driving growth across the auto retail channel. This individual will lead a team of national account managers driving front room and back room sales in the channel. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating new item introductions into the retail channel and collaborating with various internal teams, including Sales Management, Marketing, Product Management, and Account Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales Management, Marketing, Product Management, and Account Services to align on goals, objectives, and strategies, and provide regular updates on account performance.
  • Effectively communicate market insights, customer feedback, and account-specific requirements to internal teams, facilitating effective decision-making and solution development.
  • Manage the Auto Retail Channel portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop the national account management team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow new and existing accounts within the Auto Retail Channel, identifying opportunities for expansion and increased market share.
  • Coordinate approvals for quotes and pricing adjustments in the channel.
  • Drive the introduction of new products into the auto retail channel, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and maximized sales potential.
  • Monitor and manage account profitability, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers, analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify areas for improvement and drive business growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics, leveraging this knowledge to drive proactive account management and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the auto retail channel, with a track record of successfully managing and growing national accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans, including new item introductions and promotional strategies.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 10 years automotive aftermarket sales, product management, and/or category management experience of front room and back room application specific parts in the auto retail channel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience managing, leading, and developing productive sales teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and financial metrics to drive business growth.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
