The Returnership Program

Role: Senior Private Credit Business Development Manager
This role will support the overall credit business through oversight across numerous functions including business unit forecasting, fund profitability assessments, risk and controls, compliance, technology and operations, new product development initiatives, and investment governance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and will be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment. The candidate must be extraordinarily well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of working on multiple tasks across a variety of Credit asset classes.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the Global Credit team with a focus on Business Management / Product Strategy.
Business Management
- Partnering on office evolution, bridging the gap across local functions/requirements and drive efficiencies across departments
- Work closely with strategy teams, senior management, and local business leaders to support strategic objectives
- Proactive approach to solving clients’ investment-related, business, and operational issues by serving as the liaison between the investment team and all other areas of BlackRock (compliance, legal, operations, marketing, and sales)
- Leading all aspects of day-to-day office management activities, as well as business transformation projects
- Partner closely with COO team by supporting expense and invoice review process, on-boarding and Day-to-Day team operations
Product Strategy
- External and internal communications
- Provide reporting support for earnings and performance, etc.
- Responding to Investor inquiries and requests
- Work in close partnership with BlackRock’s Institutional and Retail Client Business teams, Credit Portfolio Managers, Alternative Specialists and others in Product Strategy to provide coordinated client coverage
Skills, experience, and education:
- A high level of attention to detail
- BA/BS degree
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to manage and succeed in driving multiple projects forward simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and assume additional responsibilities as required
- 5+ years of experience, preferably at a large global organization in the financial services industry.
- Experience working in Credit markets
- Discretion in dealing with confidential information in all aspects of work
- Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience working in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $155,000 – $185,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
