The Private Investment Portfolios and Co-Investment (“PIPCO”) group within NB Private Markets oversee all commingled funds and custom portfolios consisting of a combination of primaries, co-investments, and/or secondaries, as well as primary-only and co-investment-only programs. The diverse suite of products includes a variety of strategies, ranging from highly diversified portfolios to those focused on a particular asset class (i.e., buyout, venture, and/or infrastructure), certain geographies, emerging managers, impact investments, or other customizations as requested by clients.
The Client Solutions Group within NB Private Markets is focused on developing and implementing the fundraising strategy for the overall PIPCO group and individual fund offerings. The group plays a key role across the full lifecycle of the PIPCO funds’ from formation to fundraising to managing communications with investors.
The team is seeking a junior team member dedicated to the PIPCO team to help manage non-investment activities for the team. The individual will work closely with the investment, marketing, sales, legal, finance and operations teams to meet the needs of investors and prospects.
The individual will have a wide scope of responsibilities as outlined below and begin as a generalist, working across the entire suite of PIPCO products, with the opportunity to specialize as their career progresses.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing fundraising processes
- Manage fundraising activity across distribution channels
- Organize and coordinate onsite meetings for clients
- Handle logistics related to closing including coordination with sales, legal, subscription and clients
- Work closely with investment teams to provide communication and updates internally and externally during fundraising processes
- Perform quantitative analyses and research
- Manage capital formation activities, such as drafting legal documents, launching datarooms and creating marketing materials
- Liaise with portfolio managers and sales force, legal, finance, and operations teams to deliver materials and respond to requests for proposals (“RfPs”), manage prospect follow-ups, as well as answer client/prospect inquiries
- Update fund marketing materials and other ongoing prospect communications
- Provide sales with tools that they need, such as content, customized materials and education of the product
- Serve as a resource for the broader Neuberger Berman sales teams for PIPCO related matters
Manage PIPCO platform data
- Track and maintain LP commitment data
- Track investment activity and performance across products
Help manage public exposure through our annual meeting, industry conferences, databases and seminars.
Qualifications:
- Strong judgment, maturity and critical thinking skills
- Exhibits strong dedication to the job and takes ownership of deliverables

- Ability to move quickly up the learning curve
- Excellent academic credentials
- At least 1-2 years of relevant professional experience for an analyst (i.e., experience with investment banking, secondary firm, placement agent or consulting)
- Remarkable attention to detail
- Initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication, and ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form
- Strong organizational skills
- Undergraduate degree in economics or finance
- Ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectively
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
