We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun-loving team members, and are looking for a Senior Manager of Partnerships & Business Development to come join our New York based headquarters.
This is a brand new role that will join our growing Marketing organization. This role will be responsible for developing new, strategic partnerships that drive growth for Tommy John’s men’s and women’s divisions, while expanding our brand equity and awareness. It is also a commercial-centric role that will work cross functionally to identify, negotiate, and nurture business development opportunities that directly drive new customers. These partnerships require coordination with our marketing, merchandising, creative, and experience teams, as well as our founders, to ensure they’re aligned with our revenue and brand goals.
The ideal candidate (individual contributor to start) will be comfortable seeking and closing select opportunities with full support from across the Tommy John organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal partners including legal, pr, marketing, merchandising, data, experience, technology and others to ensure flawless execution
- Pitch new opportunities, negotiate terms and win new business
- Build a transparent, strategic pipeline of potential partners, including managing inbound requests
- Develop KPIs and consistently analyze the performance and impact of partnerships for constant optimization
- Help set the strategy to identify and meticulously execute partnerships that (a) align with our current/prospective consumer’s interests, (b) drive new business and (c) are brand accretive.
- Internally communicate BD plans and performance to both educate and inspire the organization
Requirements:
- Occasional travel (10%), only when safe to do so
- Ability to be on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 3 days per week
- Experience/familiarity with negotiating terms including revenue-sharing agreements (or cost per acquired customer, wholesale terms or equivalent)
- Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environment
- Demonstrated alignment with TJ core values: Humble, Adaptable, Mindful, GSD 2.0, & Curious
- Self-starter who can independently lead both strategy and execution, gain internal consensus, and communicate effectively
- 4-7 years of relevant Business Development/Partnership experience, preferably within a high-growth consumer company
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
