The Role
The Business Development Associate (BDA) role is an essential part of our Private Wealth sales team and tasked with accelerating the adoption of Blue Owl investment solutions. The Associate will partner with a Market Team to cultivate relationships with financial advisors within a designated channel and territory, maintaining a high level of proactive sales outreach and representing themselves as a subject matter expert for our investment offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in partner firm/advisor conferences.
- Meet or exceed designated sales goals/KPIs established for the role and territory.
- Actively partner with Market Team: Regional Market Leader, Relationship Management Associate (RMA) and Sales Service Associate (SSA) to develop and execute a territory business plan while utilizing data to optimize client engagement.
- Provides superior client service and responds to technical, product and competitive positioning inquiries as needed.
- Independently schedule and hold one-on-on Advisor meetings and/or group presentations, with anticipated travel into territory (where applicable).
- Provide a high level of proactive sales outreach via phone, email and virtual engagement.
- Schedule and position the team’s senior resource in territory for appropriate clients.
- Responsible for a select advisor segmentation across the territory, with a focus on growing new producers and cross selling/up selling existing clientele.
- Proactively drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing financial advisors.
- Act as an expert resource on the private market strategies, competitors, and products available in the alternative industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, alternative sales experience preferred.
- FINRA Series 7, 63 licensed

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $110,000 to $115,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
