WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Development Coordinator engages with a wide variety of fundraising activities and approved tactics, providing administrative and program support for a busy and high-performing Global Development team. The Coordinator will support fundraisers and development operations for the Global Markets Initiative, comprised of six markets across the globe, helping to maximize efficiency as the Conservancy drives for greater global collaboration and more impactful outcomes. This position will primarily support the New York, Cape Town, and São Paulo Global Markets.
The Development Coordinator may be responsible for a range of activities, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence and acknowledgments, assisting donors with asset transfer, planning logistics of meetings, and assisting with the planning and execution of special events for prospects and donors. They may provide program information to prospects and donors, assist with writing development publications and proposals, and engage in donor research. The Coordinator will use the fundraising management system (BBCRM) to produce reports, perform analysis and research, and track prospects and donors across the globe. They will apply established processes and practices in order to improve effectiveness. The Coordinator may have substantial contact with staff, donors, and legal and financial professionals. They will provide other staff with synthesized information needed to make decisions and solve problems. They will create and use existing data management tools to track and manage grants and perform administrative functions as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
- Does not supervise any staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Provide administrative support to supervisor as needed.
- Serve as a team member for assigned projects.
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
- Financial responsibility may include working within a budget, purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget tracking.
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Refer difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience applying research skills.
- Experience writing and editing written materials for use with donor solicitations, member communications, and special events.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles & practices.
- Experience analyzing information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating efforts, and solving problems.
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with databases, including managing and tracking data.

SALARY INFORMATION
Pay Transparency Policy: The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $58,310- $63,798 for the annual base salary. This range only applies for the U.S. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range, it will be based on a variety of factors. This includes the candidate's geographic location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Please note - countries outside the U.S. have different pay ranges in the local currency based on the local labor market, and it is not tied to U.S. pay or ranges.
