Modernizing Medicine is hiring a Senior People Initiatives Manager. The Senior People Initiative Manager is responsible for integrating and strategically aligning work across all functions within the people organization. The role will assess the needs of the business, identify critical initiatives and determine the proper course of action and identify high-risk and urgent issues that may require the people leadership team's attention.


The Role


  • Supports the CPO and people leadership team with thought partnership and preparation of materials for QBRs, company meetings, board meetings, etc,
  • Serves as a member of the people leadership team, working closely with the CPO and the SLT to effectively manage and support the strategic initiatives for the department.
  • Evaluates team processes and assess issues that serve as barriers to operational effectiveness and efficiency. Drives decisions and helps steer implementation.
  • Builds a tracking and governance system to provide updates to the leadership team. Helps drive adoption and effective utilization of Asana project management tool for the department.
  • Leads a variety of cross-functional initiatives. This includes helping build and identify teams to work through the completion of projects, in addition to managing the scope, identifying measures of success, and ensuring the successful completion of the initiative.
  • Works with cross-functional teams and uses influence in a matrix environment to help oversee projects of high importance.
  • Supports the preparation for People and business activities such as strategy meetings, all-hands meetings, and town halls. Drives agenda and post-meeting follow-up
  • Partners with the finance and people leadership team to effectively manage people team budget.
  • Manages special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and activities that cut across all of the people departments and/or support key business objectives and emerging issues.
  • Participates in and helps drive goal setting and tracking process for the people team
  • Routinely brings together multiple stakeholders with divergent perspectives to partner on key initiatives and drives decisions, resolves conflicts, influences outcomes, and enables leader success
  • Supports organizational excellence through the analysis of operational effectiveness, serving as a sounding board for all levels of the team, synthesizing team and other stakeholder feedback, and directing the work related to a broad set of initiatives
  • Organizes and coordinates people leadership team meetings, functions, and activities, setting agendas, and capturing action items, owners, and due dates.
  • Partners with Internal Communications and People Experience on people team communication and engagement needs and activities.


Skills & Requirements


  • Consulting experience, with a focus on people and culture and/or operations management a plus
  • Tech savvy with strong Google Slides/PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of related experience
  • Positive attitude and go-getter drive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to synthesize complex information into a cohesive business narrative
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people with diverse styles and perspectives; make informed decisions, find solutions, manage conflict and encourage and support change.
  • Budget management experience preferred.
  • Business-minded and strategic planner - able to connect the dots.
  • Excellent approach to problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying departments.
  • Innovative thinker with good judgment and the ability to make decisions independently and expeditiously; and, translate strategy into action
  • Ability to generate alternatives, proposing solutions along and clear problem definition
  • Demonstrated experience driving initiatives requiring complex project and change management
