Senior Director, Research Technology

PCM Trials is seeking a Senior Director of Research Technology to join our team.
This role plays a pivotal role in defining and executing our technology product strategy. This role leads a team of product managers and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Information Systems (IS) and PCM’s Clinical Research division leaders to build scalable technology solutions. The focus is on driving the development and launch of new functionality, enhancing existing offerings, and championing a customer-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle in support of global clinical trials. This role is the primary driver of developing a compelling technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s overall goals and market trends.
Essential Functions/Area Of Accountability

• Create a comprehensive, detailed long-term technology roadmap for the PCM Trials division and champion its delivery and implementation
• Drive the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Refine conceptual approaches into concrete specific investments that are specific to the needs of PCM Trials
• Work with the Project Management Office and project managers to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• See past today’s methods and problem identification, to future improvements
• Create multi-year roadmap but focus on achieving tangible near term results
• Break down business needs into actionable steps towards solutions
• Frame-up ambiguous business operational opportunities for improvement for appropriate analysis and recommendations.
• Work hand-in-hand with clinical trials leadership to create a technology vision, for both inward operational facing and external facing systems
• Identify if change management process and activities are needed including tools to create a strategy to support adoption of project implementation and changes.
• All other duties as assigned
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Qualifications

• Experience translating end-user stated needs into system-minded scalable solutions
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, business administration, computer science, or comparable field
• Understanding and experience with Agile software development methodology
• Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Master’s Degree in Health Sciences, business, or technical field
• International experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• 5+ years’ experience in managing large-scale change initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in group facilitation
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in system deployment or development
• 5-10 years of proven success in the healthcare and/or information technology sectors
• Proven experience (8+ years) in technology product management roles, preferably in a leadership capacity
• Strong business acumen, market awareness, and customer focus
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus

The typical base pay range for this role is USD $148,500 - $247,300 per year.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, skills and other market-based factors.
