Rho is currently hiring a Senior Director of Technology Delivery to join our team! In this role you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all IT infrastructure necessary to enable business capabilities and services across the company. You’ll have the opportunity to provide the vision and strategy to drive next generation capabilities and services required to support future solutions and business growth and position the firm to be a best-in-class infrastructure environment. Your focus will be on providing highly reliable, secure, and performant infrastructure services to support both internal and customer-facing solutions, advancing the use of modern or emerging technologies (AI, cloud, ML IoT, automation, etc.) and scaling operations. You’ll need to be a strong thought leader, great people leader and excellent communicator; above all, you will need to be an excellent collaborator across multiple business stakeholders, vendor partners and the team members; provide leadership by example, leveraging strong organizational, technical, process, and people management skills; and work with vendors, and with peers to develop and coordinate strategy, architecture, roadmap, budget, and execution of IT services.

Responsibilities


  • Implement and maintain technology roadmaps, including capacity planning and modeling to support short, and longer term, growth requirements.
  • Lead multiple employees to perform at their best and manage the G&A costs to be most optimal with a balance of vendor and employee blend on a project-by-project basis.
  • Oversee an infrastructure architecture team and ensure the designs meet the Five Pillars of a Well-Architected Framework (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization) and are scalable over time.
  • Serve as “hands-on” escalation point to identify and suggest approaches to resolve operational issues.
  • Lead the team responsible for the overall maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning of the corporate network and real estate network infrastructure, servers, cloud storage, and cybersecurity platforms.
  • Define, develop, and manage a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management (ITSM) landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets.
  • Work closely with the SVP, Technology and Head of Security to evaluate and implement systems to enhance data security; and facilitate risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Drive the development of infrastructure technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics.
  • Introduce innovative and differentiating infrastructure which enhances our overall competitive capabilities and employee productivity.
  • Lead vendor management activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and ongoing vendor relationships for infrastructure partners.
  • Provide strong leadership to subordinates through mentoring, career development, interpersonal communication, and teamwork enabling professional growth and development.
  • Work with the IT senior leadership team and other business areas on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources and develop a multi-year roadmap.


Qualifications


  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Detail oriented, decisive and goal oriented to consistently exceed objectives
  • Experience with the following prevalent technologies is a plus: Okta Multi-factor Authentication, M365, SAS, ServiceNow, Mobile Device Management (MDM) Solutions.
  • Experience leading multiple technical initiatives through cross-functional, matrix environments using strong program and project management tools and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and upgrading a complex technical blended environment that is a mix of legacy and newer cloud-based technologies.
  • 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience in managing successful infrastructure platforms and teams preferable in a life science and/or pharma environment.
  • Executive presence, ability to interact with senior leaders and adapt style as needed for technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis skills. Able to readily diagnose system deficiencies and independently design and implement effective solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Experienced in analyzing project scope and determining resources needed to meet project demand.
  • Strong knowledge and technical expertise in cloud-centric enterprise architecture, specifically MS Azure, with proven experience integrating new cloud operations with traditional infrastructure and application support operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (BA), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams through a transformational period; providing a strong change management voice where critical decisions that impact IT infrastructure requirements need to be considered.
  • Proven expertise in managing IT projects, budgets, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to work as an IT Leader including experience directing multiple complex initiatives, projects from formation through deployment and creative problem solving to quickly address IT issues.
  • Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels, as required.
  • 5+ years in leadership, supervisory or management position is required.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across the business and technology

As required by pay transparency laws in some states, Rho provides the range of starting compensation (annual salary or hourly rate) it reasonably expects to pay for a given role. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to role responsibilities and location as well as candidate skill set and level of experience. The range of starting pay for this role is $XX,000-$XX,000 per year (or $XX.XX-$XX.XX per hour).
