Our Talent Acquisition team is growing and we are looking for a dynamic self-starter to bring their whole self to work and join the Global team in a newly developed Culinary Campus Recruiter position. This Sr. Recruiter will be responsible for attracting, identifying, evaluating, and hiring high-quality and diverse culinary talent for our field (store) and global support teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership team to ideate potential program and internship opportunities for culinary talent at Whole Foods Market
  • Build strong partnerships with culinary programs across Community Colleges, Universities, HBCUs to continue to foster long-term
  • Lead and manage culinary campus recruitment initiatives across our 500+ store locations in the US, UK and Canada
  • Partner with Associate Deans, faculty, and campus organizations to build campus relationships through on/off-campus events, sponsorships and/or class/workshop facilitation
  • Pipeline and network with students to create an ongoing talent network for our prepared foods, bakery, meat, seafood and other teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve the diversity of existing talent pipelines and look for opportunities to create new pathways for diverse talent
  • Promote Whole Foods Market as an employer of choice for culinary students and talent via social media and other employment branding initiatives
  • Provide strategic data and insights to leadership team on campus efforts and to identify opportunities
  • Design, implement and execute robust, innovative, university specific recruiting strategies to meet hiring needs


Skills:

  • Understands the importance of SWAT analysis, including competition and trends to build and execute strategy unique campus specific strategies
  • Develops and builds a network and database of key contacts including campus partners, student organizations, professional associations and diversity organizations
  • Experience sourcing talent in culinary fields or within restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated execution of building a company brand on campus
  • Defines and drives continuous process improvement
  • Ensures commitment to customer service and candidate experience


Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience partnering and building relationships with academia
  • 1+ years of experience managing strategic diversity and campus partnerships
  • Proficiency with Handshake Premium and other college recruitment platforms preferred
  • Experience in culinary, hospitality and high-volume recruiting preferred
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule. - Ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary
  • Proficiency in data analysis to ensures data-based insights are built and leveraged with business partners
