Job Description

Who will work well with us:
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate and interested in the arts/larger
creative arena or is eager to learn. Previous experience and a background within the
the commercial art world is not required but it is preferred.
About the Opportunity:
Sales Assistant to Partner | $60-70k
  • Coordinate all sales administration, including liaising with the accounting team to create invoice paperwork.
  • Support the Partner in all sales related tasks, including sending previews and offers, arranging in person viewings, and following up with clients as needed.
  • Manage and maintain day-to-day calendar, travel, and itineraries.
  • Responsible for organizing the Partner's inbox, and staying on top of all communication requests.
  • Track and log client interests and requests.
What you’ll do:
  • Liaise frequently with multiple departments within the gallery including but not limited to: Registration, Research, Client Development, Digital, Marketing.
  • Assist in drafting and monitoring any correspondences on behalf of the Partner.
  • Provide administrative support to the partner, while strategically managing their time and travel.
  • Manage all Post-Sale services for clients including sending invoices, tracking payments, and general follow up.
  • Work closely with the Partner and additional sales assistant on all relevant tasks.
  • Support the Partner and other team members with sales strategy.
What we would like you to have:
  • 2-3 years in an assistant or administrative support role at a gallery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross departmentally.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with calendar management and travel itinerary.
  • Passion for and knowledge of contemporary art.
  • Strong Multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs.
  • Detail oriented with experience in managing upwards.
