Producing Sales Manager I (Colorado Region)

The Producing Sales Manager role will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, the Chief Strategy Officer, and the National Retail Sales Director to execute AMTM’s national sales strategy. Personal production consisting of high-quality residential mortgage applications along with recruiting, training, mentoring, and development of Mortgage Loan Officers will be the top priorities for this role. This role will be the management role within the retail sales hierarchy and will be charged with (amongst a host of other things) attempting to resolve any issues that arise from the retail sales team.

Personal Production

• Interview loan applicants and assist with the completion of the mortgage loan application including an explanation of the mortgage process and disclosures.
• Work with Bank’s personnel to service the mortgage needs of existing, referred customers and new customers.
• Assist in the scheduling of the closing with the client, processor, title company, and closing coordinator.
• Provide excellent customer service to create an outstanding customer experience from origination to closing.
• Work and partner with processor and underwriter to promptly complete and obtain decisions on mortgage requests.
• Complete and/or collect any additional documentation needed by the processor/underwriter or closer (obtaining missing information and resolving exception processing issues).
• Collect and verify the accuracy of needed documentation required for approval while complying with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in community functions to support the Bank’s CRA lending efforts as well as joining committees that provide Affordable Housing programs
• Partner with Mortgage Loan Processor, Underwriting, Doc Prep, Closing, and Operations to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality originations
• Collaborate with loan processors to ensure each residential mortgage application is processed accurately, timely, and complete.
• Input applications into the origination system and deliver early disclosures to the residential customer.
• Interview loan applicants and assist with the completion of the CRA (with or without Affordable Housing Programs) mortgage loan application including an explanation of the mortgage process and disclosures.
• Represents the Bank and the Department with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
• As required, interact with Realtors, Accountants, and Closing Agents to develop new business and/or obtain required documentation and close transactions
• Monitor the progress of transactions and keep borrowers updated on progress while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Originate residential loans to achieve loan production and business growth.
• Identify and report to the immediate supervisor any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules, regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies, and procedures, or ethical standards

Sales Management

• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets as detailed in the national retail sales strategy
• Be prepared to represent AMTM at conventions, trade shows, and other public speaking events
• Travel will be may be necessary. (subject to AMTM’s travel policy)
• Ensure that all new MLOs have the proper on-boarding process and training
• Recruit, manage, & develop Mortgage Loan Officers (MLO)
• Ensure that all MLOs remain profitable and take quick action to help remediate any that are underperforming
• Collaborate with EVP of Capital Markets and National Retail Sales Director to ensure that products and pricing are competitive and in-line with our peers/competitors.
• Ensure smooth and effective pipeline management by working closely with the COO and Operations Manager

Minimum Education And Or Certifications Requirements

Associate degree or higher preferred. ** Applicant must be NMLS registered and provide the company with an NMLS number or be willing to register in NMLS prior to employment being offered. Additionally, FBI Criminal Background and credit checks must be successfully passed before a job offer is presented.

Minimum Work Experience

Two to five years of prior Sales Manager experience in the local market.

Technical And/or Other Essential Knowledge

Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel and Word) and proficiency with mortgage system origination (such as E3, Encompass, Empower).
