Job description

The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on HR matters. The position assist in maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and all employee records, new hires files, attendance, transfers, and terminations. In addition, the position assists in benefit meetings, new hire orientations, recruiting activities, and other functions as needed. Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.

The job will include, but not be limited to:

· Recruiting

1. Post vacancies, Coordinates and set up interviews

2. Conduct, follows up and coordinate Drug Testing and Background Checks

3. Keep track of the New Hire Log

4. Sets up e-files

· New Hires

1. Coordinates new hire onboarding and orientation

2. Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains current records

3. Prepares Personnel Action Form

4. Enter 15, 60 and 90 calendar dates for all new hires

· Safety

1. Coordinate safety training

2. Assist in preparation of training materials

Minimum Requirements:

· A minimum of one year of experience with primary responsibility in Human Resources

· Familiar with state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility

· Must have excellent organizational skill and able to multi-task

· Strong and professional communication skills (written and oral) in English

· Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

· Ability to manage and complete multiple responsibilities within established timeframes

· Must be computer literate, word, excel, outlook, access, power point

· Customer service skills a must.
