Reporting directly to the Federal Coastal Operations Lead, this individual will be part of the leadership team for Federal West and responsible for managing product quality for Buildings and Infrastructure design services from the time when an opportunity is identified through project close out. The position resides in the Southern California area, rolling up to the Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Diego office.

The Local Quality Manager is the lead for implementing Jacobs’ quality program in consulting, design, and delivery of projects for the Federal Solutions team. Working in collaboration with other LQM’s, and under the direction of the Federal National Quality Director, the Local Quality Manager will be responsible for the stewardship of our quality practices at the local level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain ownership of the following activities during the project life: Client Expectation Surveys, Project Quality Plan and Quality Review Documentation.
• Engage with leadership to support consistency, nationally and internationally, for all Jacobs communities.
• Partner with technology leaders to develop, implement and maintain all quality processes throughout the life of a project.
• Work with project teams to implement quality processes and thereby ensure the highest levels of quality, consistency, and communication on all Jacobs’ projects.
• Work closely with project leadership including Sales, Operations, and Project Management to maintain quality tools throughout the life of a project.
• In cooperation with the Project Manager, the LQM will support adherence to contract requirements and project goals.
• Promote the continual enhancement and consistent application of Jacob’s quality management program for the Federal Solutions portfolios.

The base salary range for this position is $105,400 to $184,400. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations [add if remote]. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Experience as a quality reviewer, quality manager or plan checker
• United States Citizenship
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Architecture

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Experience in management of projects or design teams, including schedule, quality, communication, and documentation
• Professional Registration (P.E.) or Registered Architect (RA)
