A Day in the Life...
Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements. Drive the adoption of best practices and standard operating procedures to achieve consistent quality across all production processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the guidelines and standards as defined by Engineering and our clientele across all projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish all project requirements are met in design, prototyping and production.
Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain a robust supplier quality management program. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards, perform audits, and drive supplier development activities to enhance overall supply chain quality.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the inspection and testing processes to verify product conformance to specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Monitor customer feedback and implement measures to improve customer satisfaction, address customer concerns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to enhance product performance and reliability.
Non-Conformance Management: Implement effective processes for identifying, documenting, and resolving non-conformities. Lead investigations into root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and drive continuous improvement to prevent recurrence.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver quality-related training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. Foster a culture of quality awareness and ensure all staff members are equipped with the necessary tools to contribute to quality improvement efforts. Create and maintain work instructions for building our products and SOPs for employees to be trained against.
Audits and Certifications: Plan and coordinate internal and external audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 standards and ITAR regulations. Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies, provide the necessary documentation, and lead corrective actions to address any findings.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, manufacturing management, business management, or equivalent degree or experience
- Technology background, including an understanding of hardware, mechanical and software development.
- In-depth understanding of quality processes and procedures, certifications and regulations
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and inquisitive
- Ability to produce detailed, data-driven reports based on analysis and statistical methods
- 3+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing, with a leadership role
- Strong familiarity with or working within an ISO 9001-certified organization

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team and refine our quality department and quality processes. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the quality control and assurance processes for our high-mix low-volume product portfolio. Your primary objective will be to ensure continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. As the Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality products in a challenging and regulated industry at an accelerated pace.
As Quality Manager you will help build and maintain a quality system, and implement controls and inspections where necessary. You will monitor and report appropriate metrics and KPIs, and work with leadership to build and establish the quality department as a major pillar of our organization.
This is a hands-on role where you will be building the quality department and working with other departments to establish and enforce the processes needed as the company grows. As resource needs dictate, you will hire additional personnel for the quality organization.
