A Snapshot of Your Day

As a key member of the management team, Quality Manager will be responsible for managing product/process integrity for investment cast industrial turbine blades and vanes through the development and implementation of systems that support internal processes such as the nonconformance system, final or in-process inspections, root cause analysis, 8D corrective actions, and other QC related activities.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Drive quality improvement projects on the shop floor and other business areas.
  • Ensures quality alerts are completed effectively and timely.
  • Reports quality issues, performance and metrics to management, corporate functions, and other department team members as needed.
  • Works with poor performing suppliers on supplier development plans to bring them up to higher standards, reduce non conformances, and improved performance.
  • Act as Change Agent in a diversified and large organization
  • Leads overall Quality program and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Supports supplier development, new supplier audits and existing supplier renewal audits
  • Tracks plant’s nonconformance costs related to all quality issues.
  • Works as a team member or project owner on various cross-functional High Impact Project teams.
  • Uses customer field issues, internal NCR’s, supplier-caused NCR’s, and internal/external audits as drivers of 8D activities.
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver superior business results
  • Manages 8D corrective/preventive action database and drives action items to closure
  • Drives and supports analysis of strengths and weak points of Quality systems, identifies improvement areas, and supports coordinated target setting across functions.
  • Builds trained and motivated teams
  • Overall responsibility to define and implement strategies to deliver quality objectives
  • Facilitates standard process sharing in their organizational unit and beyond.
  • Provides transparency on status and progress and contributes to reporting and communication.
  • Actively participates in customer issue support and subsequent assigned action items.

What You Bring

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create a culture which promotes a team environment
  • Proficient with MS-Office applications
  • Impeccable communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United states without need of current or future sponsorship.
  • Proven Leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
  • 5+ years of experience in product manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma is required. Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering fields are preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality department or related role
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and experienced auditor, certified preferred
