Regional Quality Manager Jobs

The Regional Quality Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the quality control labs and Quality Management Systems (QMS) at assigned locations. This position will require travel, up to 25% (or more as responsibilities dictate). Quality Supervisors at assigned location(s) will report to this position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule weekly 1:1 with direct reports.
• Communicate successes and issues to the VP of Quality during weekly 1:1.
• Ensure preparedness for all 3rd party audits – NSF, FM, customer audits, and internal QMS audits.
• Communicate daily with assigned plant(s) direct reports.
• Ensure plants address CPARs, CIRs timely and NCRs are reviewed/closed within 24 hours.
• Evaluate equipment and supply needs for the lab and purchase as authorized.
• Monitor quality hold list at assigned locations and ensure production personnel clears QC holds promptly.
• Ensure that scheduling and coverage at both locations meet the needs of the company.
• Implement best practices to reduce quality complaints through effective root cause and corrective action activities. Establish target metrics.
• Communicate as needed with plant manager(s) to understand any concerns. Ability to develop and communicate action plans to address concerns with Plant Manager(s) and VP of Quality.
• Lead internal QMS audits.
• Ensure customer complaints are addressed promptly and closed within 30 days.
• Conduct audits and related activities to ensure that ISO registrar audits at assigned locations are successful with no major non-conformances.
• Issue MTRs
• Ensure line validation, annual and semi-annual test requirements are completed.

• Manage all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements to drive compliance and improvement. Records shall be managed such that no activities are past due.
• Weekly evaluation of the QMS dashboard
• Actively engage with plant management to support initiatives for improvement in operations, safety, and others, as deemed appropriate and necessary.
• Train new Quality Supervisors and/or Technicians.
• Establish goals and metrics to drive and track improvements at assigned locations.

Qualifications

• Leadership, professionalism, organizational and communication skills
• Strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, and productivity
• 1-2 years of QC experience in a pipe extrusion environment
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with MS Word and Excel
• College Bachelor’s Degree a plus
