Position Responsibilities


The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:


  • Complete other duties and tasks at the discretion of Executive management
  • Coordinate and communicate with customers and other AISIN facilities
  • Define and implement procedures relevant to the department responsibilities (Process Owner)
  • Ensure department goals and objectives are met
  • Provide leadership and guidance for 3-5 Section Managers and multiple Section team members
  • Develop and manage department operating budget (discretionary expenses), as integrated into the overall Divisional budget
  • Establish, monitor, and report department level Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Participate in joint meetings with customers, global and regional Aisin executives, and other groups, as requested, to present Market Quality information
  • Daily interaction with Section Managers and Section team members
  • Oversee recruitment and training of members in the department
  • Develop and manage department level Activity Plans in alignment with Division Goals and Objectives


Required Skills And Abilities


Essential Skills and Experience:


  • Intrapersonal skills to train and grow Section managers and team members
  • Automotive sector experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Industry standard Quality concepts (7 Basic QC Tools, SPC, etc.)
  • Automotive warranty methods and management
  • Ability to lead Root Cause/Failure Analysis investigations as needed
  • Ability to work in high stress situations and environments


Beneficial Skills And Experience


  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (Finance, HR, Logistics, Operations, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Advanced analytics and statistics
  • Automotive production (factory level) management


Education/Training/Certifications


  • CQI-14 experience beneficial
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) CMQ/OE certification beneficial
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred


Travel Requirements


  • Approximately 20%
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
