Quality Manager Jobs

Hood Container Corporation is looking for a dynamic Quality Manager for our corrugator and converting facility in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you would report to the General Manager and work closely with the department managers and supervisors to develop and advance Quality Vision and Goals and serve as key liaison between customers and the production team.

How you will contribute:

• Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager, Design Manager, and Plant Operations Managers and Supervisors to ensure knowledge of and accountability for customer requirements

• Develop and publish goals relating to internal and external complaints
• Develop, implement, and train employees on new and existing total quality systems
• Create and deliver presentations to customers
• Prepare management reports as needed
• Use Continuous Improvement tools to investigate and implement corrective actions
• Manage supplier performance audits
• Evaluate the existing quality systems and propose upgrades where appropriate
• Facilitate all internal regulatory audits for the existing quality
• Reduce credit dollars and improve efficiency, thereby reducing operating cost

What it takes:

• Five (5) or more years’ experience with increasing levels of responsibility in quality management
• Experience managing a Quality Management System (QMS)
• Strong business acumen and the ability to work well across different functions to integrate people and business strategies.
• Agility to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize accordingly, and thrive in a complex, fast paced work environment.
• Preferred experience in the corrugated industry
• A mindset that balances strategic and systems thinking with operational implementation and execution.
