As the Legal Operations E-billing lead working with our clients, you will be central to the support of our clients' legal operations teams and a critical part of their success.
You will coordinate and manage all inbound legal invoices from our clients' outside legal support resources and external counsel. You will oversee the use, management and all processes related to our clients' internal legal billing/ e-billing software programs and develop spend management strategies to help our clients' drive savings and value. You will help drive outside counsel management policies and practices, internal spend management policies and practices, cultivate metrics on all of these areas, report to relevant client executives regarding these points; coordinate communications between our clients' legal teams and the finance organization, you will ensure our clients' legal teams are trained on how to review and approve or reject invoices. We are looking for an independent thinker who isn't afraid to ask questions, can think creatively, and be a pro-active self-starter who is organized in a way that never overlooks the details.
Our Legal Operations E-billing lead will keep costs down, engage third-party vendors and make our clients' legal team's services better, faster and more efficient and ensure that their invoices for such services reflect those values. You will serve as a vendor point of contact, handling the on-boarding of all new vendors for our clients' legal departments. You will jump in where needed and assist with related miscellaneous projects and support contingent worker initiatives within our clients' organizations.

Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in the development of policies and practices regarding invoice receipt, invoice review, invoice handling, and all aspects of legal billing received by our clients' legal departments.
- Manage the our clients' legal team’s e-billing technology and systems, to improve team efficiency and effectiveness; manage the enhancements of these systems by the outside vendors who provided those systems or collaborate with our clients' IT organization on these efforts;
- Review and analyze invoices and related documents for compliance with our clients' outside counsel and legal billing guidelines.
- Work in our clients' e-billing software programs (typically third party software solutions).
- Identify and track metrics regarding legal spend and spend management.
Minimum Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in e-billing/ legal billing
- Experience working with e-billing programs such as Team Connect, Collaborati and more.
- Expertise with the MS Office suite
- Demonstrated approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions
- Comfortable and well-versed in various technologies, database programs and software platforms, especially legal billing software/e-billing programs.
Preferred Skills
- Formal experience in a legal operations / e-billing support role
- Financial and accounting skills and experience.
- Experience with e-billing, intake and matter management software.
