Job Description

About the Role


As a Key Account Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our Outdoor and Mainstream accounts acting as a partner with the key account managers and directors to support the business through sales, margin, and inventory optimization. Required to also communicate effectively with external and internal cross functional partners to maintain positive and productive relationships that support business results and needs.


You’ll Make a Difference by


  • Create and maintain weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual reporting that is utilized to recap retail key performance indicators and provide expert analysis with impactful recommendations
  • Build and maintain high level of collaboration/partnerships with multiple internal team members across different functions, and coordinate those efforts for timely and efficient execution
  • Support team with ad hoc analysis and other supplementary data support
  • Purchase order maintenance including familiarity with EDI practices and bulk order management


About You


  • Must be detailed and process oriented
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple retail accounts
  • Self-starter and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail math
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate persuasively, influentially and responsibly across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Experience in retail planning systems and programs that includes assortment building, forecasting and optimization
  • Travel is required
  • Exceptional Microsoft Suite ability with advanced Excel skills
  • Three to Five years’ experience in merchandise planning/buying
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex quantitative data and report back to team with actionable opportunities/steps. Must be proactive in determining business needs.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year.


The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
