The company has over the past 6 years assimilated 18 properties that sit within these verticals. Together these comprise of 3,000+ games, 5,000+ videos, & 30,000+ teacher resources and 500,000+ growing library of learning resources. The Sandbox properties straddle both COPPA & non-COPPA requirements and one of their platforms Hopster was nominated for a BAFTA (children’s award) in 2018.


Our products and services can be consumed from the respective websites and apps and additionally through commercial partners including Comcast, Roku and Amazon. This allows a current reach of 55m+ kids, families and teachers on a monthly basis, with 650K subscribers and 500 million+ monthly page views across the group. The platform’s revenue is generated through a blend of D2C and D2S (School) subscriptions; B2B advertising; IP licensing; content marketing and partner bundling (telcos).


The team at Sandbox understands the time, discipline and expertise needed to develop brilliant digital learning experiences. Over the next few years, their aim is to reach more kids, parents and teachers across the world. They intend to build and diversify their current offering by bringing additional products and services into the Sandbox family, covering the core audiences; Pre-K, K-8 Kids, Parents and Teachers.


The Inside Advertising Sales Representative, working alongside the Commercial team will be responsible for generating significant revenues from educational companies, including EdTech brands, exam boards, publishers, school trip providers and many more. We work with brands such as Pearson, Bloomsbury Publishing, Merlin Entertainments and Save the Children.


They will be responsible for identifying opportunities to grow the direct advertising and sponsorship sales by building effective advertising relationships with existing customers, prospective customers, and stakeholders.



Critical Success Factors

  • Continuously develop a leads list and contact these on a daily basis via phone, email, video and virtual/face to face meetings.
  • Meet quota, revenue targets and key performance indicators set by the business across the SLL portfolio.
  • With support from line manager, implement sales strategies and plans across all advertising accounts to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
  • Be responsible for specific verticals and develop an in-depth plan to implement across the SLL portfolio.
  • Manage the overall sales journey for all new and existing clients.
  • Develop a pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue budgets.



Responsibilities

  • Monitor and keep up to date on competitor activity.
  • All sales related admin completed to a high professional standard.
  • Increase the depth of relationships with B2B customers by becoming an expert in your verticals displaying a deep understanding of SLL advertising offering to capitalise on customer growth opportunities.
  • Conduct desk research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Responsible for a selection of key accounts and a volume of low-mid tier advertising clients and build strong relationships with key stakeholders with a view to identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate across teams within the Sandbox Learning portfolio to achieve results.
  • Diligently report and forecast revenue from your customers and present internally.
  • Grow commercial revenues through sales calls, email communication, and client meetings to comprehensively cover client base and establish long, lasting relationships.
  • You will support the team in creating and developing clear advertising and partnership plans across all Sandbox Learning portfolios to meet revenue target expectations.
  • Responsible for updating key advertising statistics to include within customer proposals.
  • Support on delivery of innovative advertising and sponsorship solutions.
  • Communicate and educate advertisers on Sandbox’s advertising and sponsorship solutions via sales calls, sales presentations, and face-to-face or virtual meetings.
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs within defined periods.
  • Ensure records on the CRM are always maintained and provide accurate revenue forecasts.
