HR Specialist:
IDR is looking for an HR Specialist to join our HR department. You will be working with new employees to initiate the onboarding process and ensure all onboarding requirements on the employee’s side are complete prior to the start date. You will be responsible for ensuring that all paperwork is compliant with IDR internal policies, federal and state requirements, as well as Client requirements. Upon the employee’s start date, you will onboard them into our payroll system. You will also help manage other daily tasks and requests.
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Manage the onboarding process for new W2 employees who will be working on IDR’s client site. Ensure all compliance needs are met prior to the targeted start date:
o Initiate new hire paperwork, background, and drug screens, and ensure all onboarding is complete by the specified deadline
o Review Form I9s to ensure compliance with DHS regulations
o Follow federal and state requirements i.e. sick leave policies, sexual harassment trainings
• Onboard W2 employees into our payroll system
• Complete verifications of employment for past and present employees
• Complete Unemployment claims and Benefit Audits
• Communicate with active consultants
o Approving consultant changes to their personal information (address changes, tax set-up adjustments, direct deposit changes, etc.)
o Assisting the Engagement Managers with their consultant’s questions
• Review exempt/non-exempt FSLA statuses
• Launch monthly and annual onboarding tasks
• Process employee terminations
• Review placements for accurate data
Required Experience:
• Ability to work in a fast paced, Staffing environment
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, driven by success
