The Human Resources Manager primarily serves as a business partner to managers and team members within assigned regional areas of responsibility in a multi-state environment. This role executes a variety of responsibilities, special assignments, and projects.

  • Provides administrative support and partners with management on annual performance and compensation review processes.
  • Coordinates and may conduct required human resource training to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; evaluates legal updates in relation to company policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Provides employee relations and human resources support and guidance to management and employees; is a primary point of contact for employees and supports management with employee relations, coaching and counseling.
  • Participates in compensation analysis and compiles data from internal and external sources to provide information, analysis and guidance regarding compensation decisions, issues, and projects.
  • Collaborates with other Human Resource team members to drive effective department results; provides valuable ideas and point of view, leads with positive intent, and supports fast paced growth.
  • Assists in creating or updating job descriptions, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and other human resource documents.
  • Sources, recruits, interviews, and hires talent; collaborates with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, experience and competencies required, and fills jobs timely.
  • Completes onboarding processes within HRIS software and ensures an efficient and favorable new hire employee experience.
  • Manages off-boarding processes including conducting exit interviews, follow-up communications, ensuring terminations are properly processed, and managing unemployment claims.
  • Manages employee personnel records and notice requirements to ensure recordkeeping compliance.
  • Analyzes turnover within assigned areas and collaborates with management to develop strategies for employee engagement and retention.

Qualifications
  • Ability to occasionally travel based on business needs.
  • Adaptable and flexible to support a growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, HR certification a plus.
  • Experience scoping, developing and leading new initiatives, projects, or process improvements.
  • Experience writing or updating policies, procedures, handbooks, or SOPS.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resource management or business support partner role.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong employee relations experience handling a wide-variety and complexity of issues.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state and federal employment and wage and hour laws.
  • Strong leadership skills and presence.
  • Ability to function well in a fast paced, high-energy, customer focused environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a very strong attention to detail.
  • Effective in conflict resolution and thoughtful creative problem solver.
  • Solid sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting experience with a variety of types of positions.
  • Strong technical and systems experience including use of Microsoft office products, HRIS systems, and Applicant Tracking software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality and build trusting relationships.
  • Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
