Job Description
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Industrial Base Facilities & Major Range/Test/Facilities Base in DoD. Responsibilities You will provide personnel clerical services and technical support in a variety of areas including responsibility for coordinating actions for processing. You will perform duties in the functional areas of staffing, wage and classification, and employee relations particularly relating to benefits. You will serve as a recognized source within and outside the department for authoritative information on regulatory and procedural aspects for areas of personnel. You will review and coordinate all personnel actions such as appointments, change in status, transfers, separations and promotions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Applying a standardized body of HR rules, procedures and operations sufficient to perform a full- range of support assignments; 2) Providing support to human resources specialists involved in one or more specialties; 3) Using personal computers and software programs in the performance of HR work assignments; and 4) Developing and posting Job announcements for a variety of positions. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Applying a standardized body of HR rules, procedures and operations sufficient to perform a full- range of support assignments; 2) Providing support to human resources specialists involved in one or more specialties; 3) Using personal computers and software programs in the performance of HR work assignments. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:Human Resources Assistance Series 0203 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education The following education is qualifying for the GS-05: Successful completion of four years of education above high school level may be substituted for one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/). Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education Substitution - If you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you must submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.
