Job Title: Diversity/Employee Engagement Intern
Job Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Engages with stakeholders from each division to execute, analyze and convert to action the data produced by the quarterly engagement survey.
• Provides support and assists McClatchy’s ERG to ensure the initiatives and work efforts are in line with the overall goals, mission, and vision of McClatchy.
• Helps stakeholders to assess potential barriers and develop strategies to recruit and retain a diverse workforce based on research and evidence-based practices.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to produce McClatchy’s weekly company-wide newsletter Thrive and maintain/promote content on the internal communications portal (Eleanor).
• Collaborates with stakeholders to establish and measure KPIs related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce.
• Partners with stakeholders to evaluate, assess the need for, recommend and/or develop training initiatives on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, and maintain compliance with applicable laws.
• Assists with the development and implementation of a leadership development program focusing on skill development in areas such as conflict management, communication, employee engagement, improving performance, and recruitment/retention.
