Job Description

People & Culture Generalist


A People & Culture (P&C) Generalist is an entry-level role in the field of Human Resources. As a P&C Generalist you work closely with senior P&C team members and managers to support various P&C functions within an organization. Your primary responsibility is to assist in the development and implementation of P&C policies, programs, and initiatives to meet the needs of the organization and its employees. The People & Culture Generalist must communicate and act with high ethics, working as a change agent for all b.well employees.


What you will do:


  • Recruitment and Selection: Assist in the recruitment and selection process by sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
  • P&C Policies and Compliance: Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure P&C policies and practices are in compliance. Provide guidance on policy interpretation and application. Maintain accurate employee records and update all P&C systems.
  • P&C Analytics and Reporting: Utilize P&C data and analytics to measure and monitor key metrics and trends. Generate reports and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making, prepare presentations for P&C leadership.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Help facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing necessary paperwork, coordinating orientations, and assisting with the setup of employee profiles in systems. Additionally, support offboarding procedures for departing employees, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • P&C Projects: Contribute to P&C projects and initiatives, such as implementing new P&C programs, system updates, policy updates, conducting research, and analyzing data. Creating presentation materials for the P&C team leveraging google suite tools. Support the Baltimore office space as a main point of contact for all office related needs.
  • People & Culture Support: Provide general P&C support to employees and managers, such as answering P&C related inquiries/tickets, supporting P&C team with addressing employee concerns, and providing guidance on P&C policies and procedures.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture: Support development and implement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and a strong company culture. This includes organizing employee events, recognition programs, and employee surveys. Support fitness challenges, volunteer projects, and DEI initiatives in partnership with our committee.


Notches in your belt:


  • Prefer 3+ years of experience in supporting an HR team and function
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Passion for results; able to deliver full-cycle projects (start to finish) and results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to solve problems; resourceful and takes initiative to seek internal and external resources when problem-solving.
  • Comfortable using technology, including G-suite and Paycor. Experience with creating presentations and excel. MacBook experience preferred.
  • A team player who acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrate discretion and sound judgment while working with sensitive and confidential materials.
