Brief Description
- Assists the HR Assistant with processing of verifications of employment, as needed.
- Responds to telephone, written and email requests, routes appropriately, and accurately records as needed.
- Provides general assistance to the Employee Relations Team and HR Director/V.P.
- Creates, copies, edits, stores, scans, retrieves and prints a variety of miscellaneous documents. Maintains miscellaneous spreadsheets, logs and reports.
- Assists in projects assuring compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Health Services requirements including audits of employee files.
- Processes employee offboarding for voluntary resignations including; employee/leader communications, coordination with Payroll to receive final paychecks timely, HRIS processing. Scheduling and conducting exit interviews. Responding to EDD claims.
- Assists other HR staff with projects, events, etc. upon request.
- Processes, records and tracks subpoena requests.
- Processes disciplinary action forms, including performance improvement plans, maintaining spreadsheets, logs, forms.
- Participates in weekly staff meetings.
- Processes Employee Relations invoices and check requests.
- Other duties as needed
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures normally acquired through one (1) year's office experience.
- Strong communication and English grammar skills, including oral and written

- Ability to type and perform data entry accurately.

- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience is required.
- Two (2) years of Human Resources experience highly preferred.

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient, hospital and department information

- Ability to adhere with AVMC Leaves of Absence Policy
- Ability to adhere to the department dress code

- Ability to communicate effectively while maintaining good working relationships with co-workers, managers and other hospital staff
