Job Description
Brief Description


Job Objective:


Under the direction of the Manager of Employee & Labor Relations; provides support in the area of Employee Relations. This position performs a wide variety of general duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists the HR Assistant with processing of verifications of employment, as needed.
  • Responds to telephone, written and email requests, routes appropriately, and accurately records as needed.
  • Provides general assistance to the Employee Relations Team and HR Director/V.P.
  • Creates, copies, edits, stores, scans, retrieves and prints a variety of miscellaneous documents. Maintains miscellaneous spreadsheets, logs and reports.
  • Assists in projects assuring compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Health Services requirements including audits of employee files.
  • Processes employee offboarding for voluntary resignations including; employee/leader communications, coordination with Payroll to receive final paychecks timely, HRIS processing. Scheduling and conducting exit interviews. Responding to EDD claims.
  • Assists other HR staff with projects, events, etc. upon request.
  • Processes, records and tracks subpoena requests.
  • Processes disciplinary action forms, including performance improvement plans, maintaining spreadsheets, logs, forms.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings.
  • Processes Employee Relations invoices and check requests.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Knowledge


  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures normally acquired through one (1) year's office experience.


Skills


  • Strong communication and English grammar skills, including oral and written

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to type and perform data entry accurately.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in an environment that requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality

Education and Experience:


Education


  • High School diploma or GED required.


Experience


  • Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience is required.
  • Two (2) years of Human Resources experience highly preferred.

  • Work is performed in a busy, fast paced office environment.
