eCommerce Business Development Manager - Leading Pet Retailer
FULLY REMOTE
We're seeking an eCommerce Business Development Manager to serve as a key member in helping to drive the overall online expansion strategy for multiple Pet brands. This position will lead the Company’s growth in online sales through launching aggressive go-to-market strategies, ongoing account management, and effective marketing and promotional program development.
Reporting to the Vice President, E-Commerce & Digital Marketing, the eCommerce Business Development Manager will play a key role in helping the organization achieve our goals and objectives on a high-growth, high-visibility sales team. The ideal candidate is an E-Commerce expert with e-retail experience on both the brand side and buying side. This person is highly analytical, well versed in eCommerce trends and tools. They think big, multi-task, work smart, organized, detailed, innovative and are entrepreneurial.
Key Responsibilities
- Own promotional activities including planning, launch, post-event analysis of spend, ROI and analysis.
- Own weekly, monthly quarterly market share reporting and competitor analysis.
- Build strong communication channels at all levels, set proper expectations, provide clear status communications, and manage towards a growth plan.
- Partner cross-functionally with digital marketing, copy, creative, brand marketing, inventory
- Identify, develop, and implement eCommerce strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Management, forecasting, sales, reputation management, and other teams to provide visibility, transparency and efficiency with project work.
- Conduct research to identify and launch net new customer channels.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of third-party opportunities for broad expansion across marketplaces based on profitability, sales, level of complexity and speed-to-market.
- Support communication and execution of brand go-to-market strategies and tactics.
- Track sales/share growth and branded site KPIs.
- Own the e-commerce channel, including consumer experience, management of assortment, analytics, reporting, merchandising and growth strategy.
- Lead Private Label efforts, managing cross-functional and customer facing communication.
- Own pricing, fill rates, out of stocks and coordinate with inventory management to minimize lost sales.
- Report E-commerce financials, provide insights and learnings to the leadership team monthly.
- Launch and manage seller accounts across marketplaces.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of the pet space preferred
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment in a highly visible role
- Ability to independently learn new tools and technology to support the business
- Intellectual curiosity and thirst for innovation and success
- Highly organized, accurate, quick learner, proactive and have a positive attitude
- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce with prior experience supporting Amazon Seller Central
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field
- Highly analytical; Expert in account level eCommerce tools and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of eCommerce space, overall trends, and technology
- Ability to work cross-functionally with strong communication (both written and verbal) skills
