Benchmark is looking for an experienced HR professional to oversee our Southern NJ Offices.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities


Develop, implement, and measure local recruitment strategies to be carried out by the HR Generalist


  • Ensure required background searches and related authorization forms are processed in accordance with laws, regulations and, company policies and procedures.
  • Work collaborating with Director of HR Compliance and Safety to plan and conduct or assign and report on compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
  • Assign the development of employment related training to HR staff
  • Assist in the evaluation of recruitment strategies
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Assist in the development and approval of job descriptions
  • Work collaborating with Director of HR Compliance and Safety to ensure the completion of all safety initiatives assigned to the human resources department.
  • Periodically attend management meetings throughout the organization
  • Assist with employee grievances as requested
  • Assist management running and acting upon various SQL reports
  • Actively participate in staff meetings throughout the market by discussing benefits, policies, and other relevant information
  • Assist in the creation of recruitment goals. Measure and report on the outcomes of the goals.
  • Counsel HR staff, employees and managers on human resources related issues
  • Train new human resources staff
  • Observe HR staff conducting orientation and training, make recommended changes
  • Create written procedures describing how HR staff will coordinate the notification of staff compliance to employees and management with follow through actions to ensure compliance.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
  • Participate in or lead Interactive Process Meetings
  • Develop, implement, and measure local retention strategies to be carried out by the HR Generalist
  • Assist in the development of HR related communications
  • Supervise administrative support staff where applicable.
  • Remain up to date on laws and regulations impacting human resources
  • Assist in the development of training and communication material
  • Assist with compensation studies
  • Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Complete assigned data entry
  • Monitor vacant hours throughout the organization
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is collected and processed in accordance with laws, regulations and, company policies and procedures.
  • Meet retention goals
  • Report to work as scheduled.
  • Develop HUB trainings and other assigned trainings
  • Conduct supplemental staff and management training
  • Attend weekly calls with hiring managers and HR generalists
  • Assist with responding to unemployment claims and attend hearings as necessary.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
  • Develop, implement, and measure local retention strategies to be carried out by the HR Generalist


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Ability to work in a support capacity with management and employees
  • Excellent communication skills including the capacity to be an effective presenter
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or 10 years of relevant experience.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Creative thinking skills to identify new recruitment resources
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to create reports, presentations, graphs and charts
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Company’s benefit options
